Meet Sara
Thank you for reaching out and taking the first step towards your goals! I am honored to walk along side you on your journey towards holistic wellbeing and developing greater fulfillment in your life and relationships.
I am Sara Douglas, and I have 11 years of clinical experience in providing individual therapy for children, teens and adults. I received my Master’s degree in both Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University. My practice integrates evidence-based approaches for treating a range of presenting concerns, with specific clinical interest and specialization in treating grief, anxiety, depression and trauma.
My practice is centered on clients and focused on solutions. This means that our first few sessions together will be about getting to know you, your values, and your strengths. We will collaborate to define what specific goals you have for therapy. My approach is warm and directive. I believe that everyone is the expert on their own experiences and research has demonstrated that building a trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation for achieving meaningful transformation and reaching your highest goals.
